Travelers access the guide content via the SmartGuide mobile app, which offers audio, text, maps, AI chat and AI itinerary planner, optional AR features, and personalized recommendations of places to visit.

SmartGuide is developed by SmartGuide s.r.o., a European technology company headquartered in Prague, Czechia (EU), working with partners worldwide and supported by institutions such as the European Commission, UNDP, and national tourism boards.

There are generally three sources of content on the platform: • By official partners (destinations, attractions, tour operators) — published as official guides with branding and author credit. • By local contributors — guides, historians, students, and storytellers who meet our quality standards. • By SmartGuide’s internal team — to ensure no destination remains empty; partners can later adopt and update the guide.
